If you have a medical condition, your insurance may cover the cost of massage and/or yoga therapy. While I only accept Auto Accident Claims and Workman’s Compensation Claims your company may cover all or a portion of your session if you bring a prescription from your doctor. I will provide you with a receipt that you can attach to your insurance form. If you are unsure about whether your insurance covers health care providers outside your HMO or PPO, please call them in advance.
Simply ask your doctor to state the diagnosis and write ‘medically necessary massage therapy’ for the specific region(s) requiring treatment on the prescription. Your doctor also needs to include the frequency and number of treatments. (For example, ‘Dx: neck and back pain. Medically necessary massage therapy 2 times per week for 4 weeks). If you are receiving yoga therapy, your doctor can write a prescription for physical therapy eval and treat.
